Dear CFIG Supporter:
On behalf of our Board Members, and 4,000 independent retailer members at CFIG, we would like to express our sincere appreciation for your continued sponsorship with the association’s various merchandising & awards programs, events and advocacy initiatives. Your continued support is needed in order to ensure a viable independent sector, which not only benefits suppliers but the entire industry.
The independent sector is the least cost to serve and on a margin basis, more profitable. Independent grocers play a big role in this industry, accounting for almost $12 billion in sales and $9.6 billion in purchases. The continued viability of a competitive, independent retail channel is good for the entire industry, particularly for the vendor community.
Independent retail grocers have a strong presence in Western Canada collectively. Independent grocers are the market leaders with more than a 19% share of the market.
DON’T MISS GSF 2017 in Vancouver!
Your dollars directly support CFIG’s programs and initiatives such as Independent Grocer of the Year, Master Merchandiser, The National Scholarship Program, Grocery Innovations Canada and Grocery & Specialty Food West. This year, your support was key to pushing Master Merchandiser online and into Quebec with a new dedicated bilingual website and promotional initiatives.
Our members are made aware of the long-standing support the manufacturing community has provided to independents by your company’s continued partnership with these aforementioned events and programs.
CFIG offers several sponsorship packages to increase your profile and relationships with our key decision makers such as the Retailer Connect program and numerous networking and business development opportunities at both annual exhibitions including: Market store tours sponsorship, workshop content, and sponsorship of trade floor mix and mingle.
