Some experts believe that 3D printing will be used as a replacement for food.
At a recent discussion around the subject at the Tribeca Film Festival, the head of 3D Systems said the company will be launching a consumer chocolate 3D printer this year.
Ping Fu told the crowd that 3D printing will allow delicious nutritious food with great presentation to be delivered locally, according to Entrepreneur.com.
Fu said the technology is already being used by high-end chefs. Check out the video of an elaborate 50 course meal that used 3D printing.
