Pantry, a brick-and-mortar version of online “dinner in a box” will open its doors , plans to open this June in Massachusetts.
Owners Dennis Lasko and Amanda Mayo wanted to take the stress and hassle out of planning and shopping for meals, according to a report.
There are “Recipe Kits” with pre-portioned, locally sourced food as well as recipe cards and videos in the store created for cooks of all levels.
Some of the meals include:Lamb and English Pea Orecchiette with spring onions, lemon, and mint; Moroccan Chicken with cauliflower “couscous”; Sweet Potato Flautas with jicama and radish salad.
Pantry recipes can be prepared in 20 to 45 minutes.
Compared to its online subscription-based recipe kit competitors, Pantry doesn’t require no commitment or advance notice.
As an added convenience, and service, the store will also sell sommelier paired wine and beer for each meal and plenty of kitchen supplies.
