Galleria Supermarket celebrated the 13th Share the Love event, which launched in 2007 in order to support community organizations in GTA.
This year, Galleria Supermarket committed $22,761 in fundraising and corporate support to address poverty, Galleria Supermarket accomplished to donate $256,958.45 for past 13 years. Funds distributed to 20 recipients on Jan 16, 2020 at Galleria Thornhill Branch. The fund of the event was raised by Galleria Supermarket and its participating companies through December 2019 to January 2020 in caring for the communities.
“As Canada’s leading ethnic grocer, we are in a unique position to bring attention and funding to address poverty,” said Peter Shin, Executive Director of Galleria Supermarket “We’re grateful to all the participating companies who continue to support our efforts to corporate social responsibility and the way we do business.”
Also, Galleria Supermarket participated in numerous events held by local charities through donations during the holiday season and New Year.
