Dave Powell, Chair of Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers (CFIG), Thomas A. Barlow, President and CEO, and the CFIG Board of Directors are pleased to announce the following 2016 Life Member designations in the Independent Grocer category: Cori Bonina of Stong’s Market and Pete Luckett of Luckett Vineyards.
Darryl Rowe of Weston Bakeries Limited was awarded the Life Member award in the Industry Builder Category
As well as Michael McCain President and CEO of Maple Leaf Foods as the 2016 recipient of the Spirit of the Independent Award.
All award recipients received their honours at Grocery Innovations Canada show at the Canadian Independent Grocer of the Year awards on October 18 at the Toronto Congress Centre-North Building.
