STEPHENVILLE, N.L.–Last month Colemans Stephenville store manager Mondella Stacey and two other department managers including Chris Tiller, meat manager and Paula Lucas, produce manager hosted a complimentary appreciation lunch for the staff at the local hospital, Sir Thomas Roddick.
The idea was the brain storm of Stacey and this is the third local services staff that she has treated to lunch.
Earlier in the year Colemans provided complimentary lunch to the local police force in honor of Police Day. The feedback was so positive, Stacey then provided lunch to the local fire department and the local rescue service group.
According to Stacey, these service facilities give so much to the community and this is just Colemans way of saying we appreciate their commitment to the people of Stephenville and surrounding areas.
The barbecue was advertised ahead of time with bright colorful posters throughout the hospital and was held outside at the back entrance of the hospital from 11 am – 2 pm. The staff were treated to a full meal with a beautiful outdoor produce display which the staff were invited to grab and go.
The comments from staff were positive and overwhelming.
Sherry Fleming, R.D. at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital said: “Thanks Mondella, staff are still talking about the lunch. It was truly appreciated by all. Such a morale booster! You don’t see these efforts with other local businesses for sure. Keep up the awesome work!”
