Corner Brook; NL, November 6, 2017 – Colemans, a family owned company proudly announced a donation of $30,000 to schools across the province from their “Kids Eat Healthy” Program.
Colemans based in Corner Brook with 12 grocery stores and 5 partner stores across the island have been in operation since 1934.
Colemans jump-started their commitment to healthy lifestyle choices for children in 2004 partnering with Quaker to contribute $5,000 to school breakfast programs later named Colemans “Kids Eat Healthy”.
In 2010 Colemans added “Kids Get Active” an additional program that donates funds to schools each fall for the purchase of sporting equipment.
With this disbursement of funds, Colemans has now reached $396,544.00 with the support of Colemans’ customers and partnerships with National & Local food suppliers like Heinz/Kraft, Campbell’s, Kruger, Kellogg’s, Lipton Unilever, ConAgra Foods (Dole & Aylmer), Smucker’s and Purity.
One hundred and four schools across the province will receive gift cards from Colemans and partner stores from their “Kids Eat Healthy”. These gift cards will be used for school breakfast programs. A presentation will be made at all Colemans and Partner Store locations.
