To support Save-On-Foods’ strategic business expansion plans, a number of changes were announced to their Senior Executive Leadership Management responsibilities, effective January 1, 2018.
Blendle “Scotty” Scott will assume the role of Executive Vice President, Save-On-Foods. Over Scotty’s 44 years at Save-On-Foods, he has developed a very unique portfolio and has held leadership roles spanning almost all areas of the business. Scotty is known throughout the industry for his strategic thinking, analytical perspective, his intense focus to deliver value to customers, his talent for anticipating trends and with that, his drive for innovation. In his new role, Scotty will continue to hold Executive Management responsibility for Store Development and Construction and Supply Chain, and will assume oversight to Legal, Risk Management, Food Safety, Acquisitions, Resource Protection, Government and External Relations.
Jamie Nelson will assume the position of Executive Vice President of Merchandising. Jamie is a highly regarded and respected operator who brings more than 37 years of experience in the industry. Known throughout the company and the industry for his creative approach to developing successful and collaborative business partnerships, inspiring teams, and acting as a catalyst for continued improvement in all parts of the business, Jamie has held senior leadership roles in both the merchandising and operations sides of the business, and has previously overseen eCommerce and IT. In his new role, Jamie will hold Executive Management Responsibility for Centre of Store Merchandising, Fresh Merchandising, Western Family, Marketing and More Rewards.
Allen Bordeleau will assume the position of Executive Vice President of Operations. Allen is an enthusiastic leader who is known for inspiring his people, for his relentless focus on delivering results – qualities he instills throughout his teams. Known for his outstanding operational leadership, strategy development, and talent for driving growth, in his new capacity, Allen will hold Executive Management Responsibility for all aspects of Retail Operations as well as the People Team.
Paul Hazra will continue to lead the company’s Finance Team as Executive Vice President of Finance. In his newly elevated role, Paul will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the company, including building and leveraging its data and analytical capabilities.
