Galleria’s 14th annual Share the Love campaign, an annual event organized with various vendors, was held on December 23, 2020. There were 554 daily necessities packages worth $50 each successfully delivered to selected community organizations, including the Korean Association of Toronto, the Korean Community Service, the Korean Women’s Association, and the Toronto Canadian Adoptee Association. The total amount of $72,000 was also donated to 17 charities and delivered to people in desperation through those organizations.
The event was attended by a small number of volunteers, including Galleria Supermarket CEO Jeffrey Min and presidents of each organization. All participants were particularly mindful of COVID-19 prevention by maintaining social distancing and wearing masks and gloves.
Galleria Supermarket CEO Jeffrey Min said, “I hope this event could be a warm consolation to those who are suffering from COVID-19 this year, and everyone will be able to smile and express their feelings in the New Year.”
Along with the ‘Share the Love,’ ‘Santa Galleria’s 1,004 Donation’ has been ongoing since December 18th, 2020 at all Galleria locations. When a customer purchases a Sunshine rice bag, the same item is donated to charity until the donated quantity reaches 1,004 bags.
