Over the past five years, Grocery Innovations Canada’s exhibitors have donated more than 200,000 lbs. of food to Daily Bread Food Bank.
Nancy Bennett, Daily Bread’s Director, Philanthropy & Private-Sector Partnerships, said that it was a great day for its clients and member food banks as a lot of the donated food was very high-value product including dairy.
It is estimated that GIC Support has saved clients at Daily Bread a total of more than $405,000 at the grocery checkout.
This year, over 14,000 lbs. was donated to Daily Bread Food Bank.
