On the heels of this ground-breaking session were Opening Remarks byCFIG Chair, Jamie Nelson followed by an important panel discussion with panelistsSarah Holt, Bi-Rite Family of Businesses and Lauren Redman of Rudy’s Markets, andmoderated by Gina Acosta, Progressive Grocer, examining the TOP U.S. GROCERYTRENDS IN 2024 – technology investments, automating pricing, private brands, freshperimeter innovation and more!

At 10:10AM attendees could choose from another two concurrentworkshops: 1) “2024 Economic Outlook” presented by JP Gervais, FCC and 2) “Tech& Grocery” hosted by Rachel Loui, Ex-Googler.The Trade Show Floor opened at 11AM and showcased a stunning array of productsand innovations, with pavilions further highlighting exhibitors that demonstrated thediversity of this trade show. Winners of the Top Ten in Grocery Awards proudlydisplayed their certificates earned from Day 1. Not to be missed during the Trade Showhours was the Insights & Innovations Stage. At 1PM was a session hosted byEx-Googler Rachel Loui titled “Buying through the heart and brain” — how consumersuse quantitative and qualitative signals to make purchases and the tech available toidentify them. This was followed up at 2PM by “Fresh Insights” — how to make yourfresh department the best restaurant in town, presented by Gina Acosta, ProgressiveGrocer. The trade show floor wrapped up at 4:00PM.
