CORNER BROOK, N.L.–To showcase the variety of cheese available at its store, Colemans At the Gardens hosted a Cheese Fest on December 12.
Staff dressed in elegant black and white for the gala evening event. The Corner Brook High Wind Symphony Band performed Christmas carols, which put shoppers in a festive spirit. Dolly Joyce, bistro supervisor, had a huge selection of international cheese for customers to sample. The store’s seafood manager also put together a delicious tray of smoked salmon & dip to promote seafood sales.
Constable Scott Mosher from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary promoted non-alcoholic drinks sponsored by MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) and handed out red ribbons.
Meanwhile, chefs in training from Academy Canada cooking school were at the demo kitchen preparing and sampling two delicious cheese dishes from Tree of Life.
The evening was promoted through posters, Facebook and Twitter.
The store event was covered in the media on two local CBC radio and by local radio station CFCB AM.
