On Friday evening Dec 4th from 5 – 7 pm Colemans stores across the province and our partner stores Co-op Clarenville, Bidgoods & Swyers participated in hosting Cheese Fest.
The purpose of the event was to promote our international and local cheese selection with our Five Brothers Cheese made in Newfoundland.
It was a gala evening with staff dressed in elegant black and white. All stores participated except for three.
Stores invited local entertainment and encouraged all departments to show off their best holiday products during the evening with sampling being highly encouraged.
One of the most important features of Cheese Fest included show-casing non-alcoholic drinks a MADD product (Mothers Against Drunk Driving).
This fantastic idea, to promote MADD was the brain storm of Brad Brewer, store manager Gardens at our first cheese fest in 2014.
Customers truly appreciate our commitment to social responsibility. MADD with 33 chapters in Atlantic Canada commented that no other grocer in Atlantic Canada promotes the MADD products like Colemans.
Frances Drover fr the MADD Chapter in Stephenville said; “because of Colemans partnership with MADD and their dedication to promoting the products it has led to the Newfoundland Chapters receiving more funding for promotional supplies”.
The evening was promoted through posters, Facebook, and Twitter.
