CFIG Chair Brian Bradley announced with sadness the news of fellow Board member, Jim Hamilton’s mother, Peggy’s, passing September 2, 2026, at the age of 92.
Peggy was a dedicated independent grocer who was acknowledged for her long-standing support of CFIG. She truly embodied what it is to be a successful Canadian Independent Grocer.
Funeral will take place on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 11:30am at the Stagecoach Saloon, Ponoka Stampede Grounds.
Memorial donations can be made to Ponoka Arts, Recreation & Cultural Society.
